“The Rihanna Tree” on the day when the field was on fire

This field on the Northern Irish A2 from Bangor to Belfast has been famous amongst landscape photographers for many years because of the lone tree. It became even more famous through a Rihanna video in 2011.

Today, however, Wednesday 31st August 2022, the field was on fire in the afternoon and the road was closed. Now that the road has reopened, I have come to photograph the tree for the first time.
